Jimmy Heidelberg is a lifelong resident of Pascagoula, Mississippi. He graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1971, and the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and Finance in 1975. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Mississippi in December 1977, and has practiced law in Pascagoula since his admission to the Bar in January 1978. He joined the firm in 1982.

He is a member of the Mississippi Bar, American Bar Association, Jackson County Bar Association, the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, Mississippi Claims Association, The Defense Research Institute, American Inns of Court, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He has served as an officer and chairman of several committees of the state and local bar associations. In 2003, he was unanimously selected to recieve the Mississippi Bar Distinguished Service Award.

Mr. Heidelberg is admitted to all Mississippi State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1984.

His practice involves trial and appellate litigation in the fields of professional liability, personal injury, products liability, governmental and environmental law, as well as public finance and legislative consulting. He has argued over sixty cases to the Mississippi Supreme Court and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Heidelberg represents several governmental agencies and political subdivisions, and is an approved attorney for the Mississippi Tort Claims Board. He is a member of the panel of arbitrators and mediators of the American Arbitration Association.

Mr. Heidelberg holds Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America" since 1999.
